Rates and Pricing

Alpenglo Mapping  provides custom mapping and geographic services at affordable rates.  Often a map can be produced for much less than you may think. Typically we can provide a quality custom map for less than $100, which is emailed on completion in a PDF or image file of your choice. You are then free to print, present, paste in a document, or otherwise share the map as you see fit. 

We can provide you a detailed estimate that includes the number of hours expected to complete your project, and all other expected data, shipping and media costs. Includes:

• Expected maximum of actual map production and design hours at an hourly design rate of $27/hour.
• Data acquisition costs, if applicable. Typically free (most maps are produced using our extensive in-house database) but if applicable typically $5-40. More as projects increase in complexity and scope.
• Data storage costs, if applicable. Usually free but larger projects (greater than 1GB in data) billed at a data processing and storage rate of $5/GB. 
• Printing, shipping, and digital media costs, if applicable (for printed maps and large projects only). Usually not required but price depends on print requirements. 
• Expected number of additional hours of research needed, (for large, complex, technical projects only). Usually not required but if applicable billed at  technical consulting and research rate of $42/hour.  

Most simple custom maps can be produced with the data we have in-house and take less than 2-3 hours. A more complex map typically takes around 1-2 days, and a very complex and technical project could take weeks or more. If you have any general questions regarding our rates, please  contact us.

Custom maps are not necessarily the answer for all projects. In many cases previously published maps or GIS datasets may be available to us. When considerable research is required to obtain the map or data, we bill for its cost plus our rate for our geographic research and acquisition time ($42/hr).

We accept cash, check, money order, credit/debit card, electronic check, and PayPal. Typically, we send an electronic invoice via email. In the invoice you will see a link to our secure payment site.

Online security is very important to us. For security reasons we do not accept credit card info over the phone or in  emails.
